Kansas LLC Annual Report: $90 Online, Due April 15 Every 2 Years
Kansas does not ask LLCs for a yearly report. It asks for an Information Report every two years, and the fee is $90 online or $110 on paper (Form ILC). The Kansas Secretary of State collects it.
The due date is April 15. The cycle follows the year you formed: an LLC formed in an even year files in each following even year, and one formed in an odd year files in each following odd year.
Kansas Information Report at a glance
| Item | Fee | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Information Report, online | $90 | April 15, every 2nd year |
| Information Report, paper | $110 | April 15, every 2nd year |
| Not filed within 3 months | Business is forfeited | |
| Reinstatement (paper Form RL) | $230 with 1 missed report | After forfeiture |
What the report asks for
The report lists the business ID, the LLC's name, its principal office (no P.O. box), the reporting year and each member who owns 5% or more of the capital, with an address where that person can be reached. It is a public record.
If you miss April 15
Kansas gives a three-month interval after the due date when the report can still be filed. After that the business is forfeited, and it cannot file any other document until the past-due reports are filed and it has been reinstated. The statute puts the cutoff at 90 days.
Reinstatement on Form RL costs a $35 filing fee, an $85 penalty and $110 for each missed report, so $230 with one missed report. The state counts reports for the last 10 years, which is up to five reporting years and $670 in total.
